The good thing about jungle safaris in Kanha National Park, or anywhere else, is that they happen early morning or late evening. The light is soft and even, somewhat dark to the naked eye but perfect for the camera. The last day it rained. All turned gloomy wet and the animals got whisked away from sight as well. It must have been luck that without a seriously long lens a lot happened in my near vicinity. It must have been anything but luck that the great Striped One never showed up, even after three days of waiting.
